  • Palantir Jumps 15% – Is $20 the Next Target?

Welcome to our weekly newsletter where we provide an overview of the main US and UK indices, along with analyses of selected assets that are outperforming the market.

Let’s get into this week’s newsletter!

US & UK INDICES OVERVIEW

S&P 500

The S&P 500 is up 6.86% for the year and has gained 1.6% in July so far, showing bullish momentum. The index is trading above the 2024 high of $6,099, setting new record highs. We’ve seen consistent bullish movement, with strong candles in May and June 2025, and July is also looking positive.

Last week, the weekly candle closed as a reversal pattern, but it was still bullish overall, finishing 0.57% higher than the previous week. Since breaking the previous all-time high of $6,147 on June 27, 2024, the price has continued a clean upward trend.

The current rally remains strong, with no significant pullback yet to the 20 simple moving average. We are looking for continued upward momentum, forming higher highs and higher lows, to confirm the strength of this trend.

Dow Jones

The Dow Jones is up 4.26% for the year and 0.49% for July so far. While it was slightly higher last week, there’s been a small pullback in price.

Unlike the Nasdaq and the S&P, the Dow Jones has yet to hit a new record high. Ideally, we’d like to see it bounce from support and gain enough momentum to break its all-time high of 45,073, set back in December 2024.

Nasdaq 100

The Nasdaq is up 9.77% so far this year and has gained 1.74% in July alone, showing steady progress alongside the S\&P 500. It has also surpassed the 2024 high of $22,133. With this momentum, it will be interesting to see if the trend continues and results in a strong bullish finish for the month.

FTSE 100:

The FTSE 100 is up 10.03% for the year and 2.57% for the month. As we pass the halfway point of the year, July is shaping up to be strong, with a bullish trend pushing to new record highs.

The index briefly broke the 9000 mark, but this level is currently acting as resistance. A clear break above 9000 is needed to confirm the continuation of the bull trend.

Last week, the FTSE 100 rose by 0.6% and broke the previous all-time high of 8908 on July 10th. While it has stayed above that level, it hasn’t moved significantly further. Instead, the price has entered a period of consolidation just above this support level.

To confirm the upward trend, we need to see a decisive break and close above the current all-time high of 9016, set on July 15th.

PERFORMANCE REVIEW

Palantir (PLTR)

Palantir has been performing strongly this year, with its year-to-date performance up by an impressive 102.62%. In July alone, the stock rose by 12.97%.

It recently broke above the $150 level, which could have been a strong resistance point, but momentum has pushed it higher.

Last week, the stock closed up 8.07%, continuing its upward trend. The previous all-time high of $125, set on February 19, 2025, was surpassed on May 13, 2025, and gained further momentum on June 9, 2025. Since then, the stock has consistently formed higher highs and higher lows.

Now that the $150 level has been cleared, the focus shifts to the next resistance point at $200. Earnings are scheduled for August 4, which could bring some volatility. Ideally, we’d like to see earnings push the stock even higher.

OUTPERFORMING ASSET FOR THE WATCHLIST

Microsoft (MSFT)

Microsoft has been a strong-performing stock with a solid track record. Currently, it’s trading above the $500 mark and remains in a strong position.

So far this year, the stock is up 21.08%, including a 2.59% gain in July. It’s also trading comfortably above the 2024 high of $468.

Over the past week, the stock rose 1.35%. It initially broke through the major resistance level at $468 on June 6, followed by a strong bullish move on June 9 that pushed it further upward. While there have been some minor corrections, the overall trend remains strong.

Currently, the price is holding above $500, but a pullback to retest this level is possible before further upside movement. With earnings coming up on July 30, increased volatility is expected, and a positive earnings announcement could drive the stock higher.

Microsoft is showing signs of a potential long-term bull trend, similar to its 875% rise between 2013 and 2021.

Looking Ahead

As of now, 52.8% of U.S. stocks are trading above their 200-day moving average, a slight drop from 53% last week. Despite this small decline, the market outlook remains positive. On a related note, our Asset Position Log continues to perform strongly, with our portfolio up by 150%.

Keep it simple. Keep it Sublime.
